Inspired by the Trends: Black and Gold

Nothing looks classier then black and gold. This season, designers changed black and gold for the better with shine, sparkly, and flash. With our two gold metal options (yellow and rose) and two black gemstones (diamond and onyx), the options are endless.
Featured largely on the Dolce and Gabbana Fall 2012 runway, the black and gold looks were ornate, delicate, and beautiful. Lots of sparkle and embellishments, just the way we love it!
You can wear the black and gold trend classy and effortless with the Princess Halo Earrings. These earrings are simple and perfect for an every day look but also when looked at closer, are brilliant and stunning.
A little bit more edgy, the Thangka Earrings, adds a sparkly spice to your look. Spiritual and fashionable, these earrings are the perfect way to bring ornate from the runway to your jewelry.
For the most glam, the Naked Cushion Bezel Ring is your go to piece. With a black onyx gemstone in almost 12 carats, this piece is sure to make your hand stand out!
Inspired by the Trends: Architectural
Be inspired by the runway and buy a beautiful a new Gemvara piece! Seen on many runways (including, Louis Vuitton, Alexander Wang, and Emilio Pucci) architectural structured looks are in.
What does architectural entail? As seen by Emilio Pucci, a strong suited look with structured shoulders. The muted tan of the suit also matches the background colors seemingly blending into the actual architecture of the runway.
Seen in the center picture, Louis Vuitton sends a similar muted suit down the runway with added flair – the buttons resemble door or drawer knobs.
The structured leather jacket from Alexander Wang is an urban, NYC chic take on the architectural trend.
Well, as fashion would have it, many Gemvara pieces reflect this trend! The Puzzle Ring could be matched with a similar suit to the Pucci with its classic style and taste. Wearing a tan hue? Reflect it in your jewelry with the Ocean Ring. You would even wear our silver aquamarine, peridot, and black onyx Triple Twist Pendant for added geometric style.
What do you think? Would you wear this trend?

Patterned Pants: Can you Handle Them?
This post is part of a guest blogger series featuring Alana Brooks of The Good Girl Gone Blog.
Patterned pants, especially of the printed denim variety, have seemingly exploded across fashion magazines and blogs alike. With options ranging from bold animal print to girly florals, there’s an option for practically everyone. Patterned Pants are definitely not for the meek, so try them if you dare!
Here are three ways to wear the trend:
For a softer, girlier look, try floral patterns. Pair with a flowy top and pearl earrings. Sources: 1,2,3.
For an edgy, modern look, go geometric! Pair bold black + patterned pants with a bright t-shirt and chunky, colorful earrings. Sources: 1,2,3.

If you’re feeling extra bold, go wild with animal print. For a more toned down look, stick to basic black or white on top, and keep jewelry minimal with a black cocktail ring. Sources: 1,2,3.
