The Proposal: Constantine & Alexandra

One of the best parts about working at Gemvara is being able to help our amazing customers find and create their perfect piece for their most important moments. From a birth, to an anniversary, to a proposal, we are here to help.

Louis, one of our fantastic customer care representatives, had the pleasure of working with Constantine picking out his Bezel Ring  in palladium and black diamond.

We were overjoyed to receive an email with his proposal and spoiler alert: she said yes!! We love to become your jeweler for life and hear amazing stories like this one…

“So, Alexandra was working really long hours with her dance company all week. I figured my only real shot was to propose was Saturday night. I wanted to see if she was too tired, but on Friday, she wanted to arrange a date for us on Saturday. I figured she’d be in the right mood.

She had no idea it was coming. On Friday she asked, “When are you going to propose to me?” (She’s been saying that a lot!). I said, “Get a good night’s sleep and I’ll propose to you tomorrow.” And she laughed at me. She had no idea how prepared I was! (thanks to you!).

On Saturday, I went into final planning mode while she was at work. I found a great place to eat (called “The Sweet Life”) and I stopped by to see if they could seat us at night. By chance, I befriended the head chef who arranged for the best table in the house for us. I also scoped out an old lighthouse (East Chop Lighthose). I bought a mini bottle of champagne and two glass and stole a blanket from the hotel (she gets cold easy).

I picked her up at 8pm and drove tho the lighthouse. Walked her over to a beautiful bench, wrapped her in the blanket and distracted her with the champagne while dropping down to one knee and pulling out the ring.

She froze, said yes, and started crying because she was so happy (which made me start crying too). We had a quick toast and then I turned on the motorcycle headlight so she could see the ring with full lighting. She REALLY loves it and it fits perfectly.

We then had a magical dinner at “The Sweet Life”.

The next day she said it was a perfect proposal and this made me truly happy. She also said the ring was just her style and she was very impressed with my choice. She also said that when we walked up to the lighthouse, she was thinking in her head, “This would be a great place for him to propose to me.”
