People’s Choice

The holidays may be over, but for us the excitement has just begun. We’re referring to award season – the highlight of the jewelry and fashion world when we get to watch celebrities don exquisite, outrageous, and even downright ridiculous outfits on the red carpet.

Although the big-time shows have yet to air (first up, the Golden Globes this Sunday!), last night we got a preview of what’s to come with the People’s Choice Awards.

If the PCAs were any indication, prepare for some serious rainbow hues this year. Besides the signature black and red styles, we also saw lots of white, green, tangerine, bright blue, and neon pink. While last night was a far cry from the elaborate Oscars, we were happy to see most celebrities experimenting with their clothes and jewels.

One thing’s for certain when it comes to red carpet jewelry – intricate earrings always make an appearance. We’ve picked our top five here featuring Demi Lovato, Madeline Carroll, Jennifer Morrison, Nina Dobrev, and Vanessa Hudgens.

Necklaces and bracelets rarely make a standout appearance so we thought it was worthy to post these two jewels as well. Here Cobie Smulders shows off a gold choker necklace and Ashley Greene sports a vintage style cuff, complete with black gemstones and elaborate patterns.
