Gemvara Celebrates 40 with Nate Berkus!
Normally at the Gemvara Headquarters we don’t have balloons, mimosas, and people eating cake before 11 a.m. However, today was no typical day. Gemvara, along with celebrities Oprah, Kimora Lee Simmons, and Dr. Oz, helped Nate Berkus ring in his 40th birthday on The Nate Berkus Show!
On the episode, which aired this morning, Nate celebrated his 40th birthday by inviting an entire audience of people who were also turning 40. One of those guests happened to be Rosemary Carson, a stay at home mom who was recently given a diamond anniversary ring from her husband, but turned it down in order to use the money to better support her family.
Rosemary’s selflessness touched Nate and she was invited to be on his show for a makeover segment with Kimora Lee Simmons! As was revealed in this morning’s episode, Rosemary got a full makeover from Kimora, Nate and his team. The big surprise came when Nate and Kimora also presented Rosemary with a gorgeous, three-stone, Gemvara diamond ring – now named the Rosemary Ring!
We asked Rosemary how that moment felt. ”I just remember putting my face in my hands to get my composure!” she told us. ”I was stunned to say the least, it was breathtaking and I squeezed Nate and probably broke a bone or two.” View a clip of Rosemary’s reaction here or the entire story on The Nate Show website.
This morning, Gemvara threw a big viewing party to celebrate both Rosemary and Nate’s 40th birthdays. To our delight, Rosemary and her family joined us to watch! It was the first time she had seen herself on the show: her reactions were priceless. Of course, no birthday celebration would be complete without cake so everyone in the office sang Rosemary (a slightly off-key) “Happy Birthday” as she blew out the candles to her very own 40th birthday cake — just like Nate’s!

September 16, 2011Rosemary is the best! She is technically my husbands’s aunt, but she is a “sister” to me and my best friend. She deserves everything she got on the Nate Berkus show and so much more! Rosemary does so much for others that she never stops to take a breather for herself. Everyone that knows her loves her. We are all so lucky to have her in our lives. Love you Auntie!!

September 21, 2011I wholeheartedly agree with Cathy! Rosemary is one of my closest friends. She helped me through some very tough times in my life last year. Her little girl and my little girl are best friends since they were babies. I am blessed to have her and her family in my life. She deserved everything she got on the Nate Berkus Show. I very rarely hear her say she just sat and relaxed for a day. Her weekends are often busy leaving her virtually no time for herself. She is a wonderful person and I am grateful for her friendship!!
