Mad Style
Nostalgic for the good old days of dressing up at the office? Well, thanks to Banana Republic and AMC, old is new again. On August 11th, Banana Republic debuted its limited edition Mad Men Collection, a line of affordable, 60s-style clothing for both men and women, inspired by the hit television series. The line was created in collaboration with Janie Bryant, the TV series’ costume designer, and features 65 pieces all in ode to the style of the show’s main characters.
What we love most about Mad Men is that the characters have not only nailed the 60s style perfectly, but they flaunt it in a way that makes it desirable for the modern woman. Banana Republic and Bryant did a great job of creating the line to be 60s-inspired, but still contemporary, not costume.
